FUND 2020 PROJECTS
Coronavirus control project in Cherkasy and Vinnytsia regions. Owing to the initiative of our Fund, we managed to unite the efforts of business, government and the public. MHP’s contribution amounted to UAH 29 mln, another UAH 6 mln was invested by other entrepreneurs and concerned citizens.
The flash mob action of 2020, within which we, together with the involved communities, planted more than 10,000 trees throughout Ukraine. This mass event contributed to the global trend of combating inevitable climate change. The project became a logical continuation of our initiative in 2019 "Plant your nuts", during which we managed to plant almost 5,200 trees, and the action itself in its scale was included in the Book of Records of Ukraine.
It is a project aimed to promote environmental culture in communities, encourage their eco-initiatives within thematic festivals. In 2019, we held 3 eco-festivals, which included the events aimed to eliminate illegal landfills, the events aimed to the waste sorting, installation of garbage cans etc. The target audience of the project is 10,000 people. In the summer of 2020, 15 eco-festivals were planned.
Establishment of centres for meetings, communication and leisure of the elderly persons. Workshops, tours, invitations to famous speakers, financial and computer literacy, etc. The project was aimed to adapt the elderly persons to changes in the fleeting world, organize their leisure time, support the active life position of the older generation, overcome the feeling of loneliness.
The program is aimed at 145,000 MHP landlords in 12 regions of Ukraine. Owing to the Project, they were able to receive free sets of quality seeds for growing 6 vegetable crops. The main achievements of the project were ensuring the landlords’ cost saving, better yields, caring for the Company’s partners, the transfer of MHP experience in the field of crop production.
Micro-grants competition, which co-finances environmental and social projects of local residents of the United Territorial Communities and the village councils of Cherkasy and Kyiv regions. The winners of the competition receive the UAH 50,000 grants. We teach people how to correctly describe projects, look for investors, create teams of like-minded people, develop their own entrepreneurial skills. In 2019, the competition covered more than 200 participants, 20 of whom became winners. The Fund’s contribution to the implementation of projects amounted to UAH 800,000, additional funds attracted by the participants amounted to UAH 1.015 mln.In 2020, we will scale the competition and the number of winners, and in 2021 it will be extended to the entire territory of Ukraine in the places of presence of MHP agricultural holding.
Partnership projects aimed at creating special spaces in the villages, in which community representatives (in some projects - local craftsmen, in others - vulnerable groups) can make and repair household items. There will also be community education in technology and innovation, workshops for young people and more. The workshops are implemented together with the UN Development Program and the Cherkasy Regional Development Agency.
Micro-grants competition, where social projects of the United Territorial Community residents and the village councils are implemented on the terms of co-financing in the places where the MHP Group is present.Projects shall involve the development of the whole community and be aimed at as many people as possible. In 2019, the ten winners of the competition received UAH 100,000 each, and another UAH 1.7 million was raised separately.130 participants took part in the competition.
A series of scientific shows and interactive classes, where children study science not theoretically, as in school, but comprehensively, practically, with experiments, elements of competition and positive emotions. In 2019, the project covered schools in 60 villages and cities and about 300 students.
Project to involve international volunteers in working with students in rural schools in the presence of MHP Group enterprises. It is aimed is to improve the English level of students and teachers, acquaintance with other cultures. In 2019, it was implemented for 2,500 children in 82 schools in Ukraine. We planned to scale this program in 2020, but due to the all-Ukrainian quarantine we were forced to postpone the project to next year.
A project that provides assistance to young families after the birth of a child. The program covers only the areas of presence of MHP enterprises, the amount of assistance is UAH 3,000 per child. The project aims to counteract the demographic crisis in Ukrainian villages, to support young families, thus developing communities.
The project is aimed to promote socialisation, career guidance and further employment of children from orphanages and boarding schools for orphans and children deprived of parental care. It is held in 5 schools by employees of the MHP-Community Charitable Foundation and 9 enterprises of the MHP Group. Our 75 project volunteers took 300 children into their care.
A project in which children create different plastic products. Owing to our idea, children not only demonstrate creative abilities, but also understand the value of natural resources, the danger of waste plastic materials. Winners are awarded with valuable gifts.
The projects are aimed at organizing trips of doctors of different directions directly to the villages where the enterprises of the MHP Group are present. They allow free tests and professional diagnostics from specialized doctors - cardiologists, dentists, etc. In 2019, 40 visits were made, about 6,000 consultations were provided.
The project is aimed at restoring, supporting, developing historical national values: buildings, monuments, traditions, crafts, others.
A social shop is a project that provides benefits to villagers in purchasing certain products at discounted prices. The program is designed primarily for low-income segments of the population. It operates on the territory of some MHP enterprises.
